June 2 Sunday, June 2, is the first Sunday of the month and it is also Pak-a-Sak Sunday at Ringwood Church. Please remember to bring your donations for the Pac-a-Sac for those less fortunate than we are. Doris Low 653-9262 UMW MEETING The regular meeting of the UMW is June 13, but instead of a regular meeting the Ladies of the Ringwood Church will meet and go out to lunch at a resturant in Wisconsin. Anyone interested in attending the luncheon, contact Katy Christopher or Marge Evans. AUCTION The men of the Ringwood church are planning an auction as a Building Fund project September 14, at noon. So, when cleaning out your attic, basement or garage keep in mind articles that would be good for an auction. There will be more details at a later date. CHURCH CAMP OUT Hie Ringwood church annual camp-out will again be at. the Chain O Lakes State Park, on June 14, 15 and 16. Mark your calendars and plan on attending. If not camping, at least come out for the sing along around the camp fire on Saturday evening and plan on bringing a dish to pass on Sunday, church ser­ vices will be at the regular time at each church, with the pot luck dinner at the campgrounds at 12:30 p.m. SHOWER A baby shower was held at the home of Sue Jette in McHenry in honor of Cindy Low (Ray) recently. There were some 20 relatives and friends there with lovely gifts for Cindy and new baby, which is due soon. Delicious snackies, punch, coffee and cake were served by Ray's sisters Sue, Patti and Pam who gave the shower. DEFENDERS RECYCLING - The recycling that is spon­ sored by the McHenry Defen­ ders will be handled this Saturday, June 1, by the McHenry County Chapter of Birthright International. Director, Tina Gorski, of Ridgeway Road, called with this information. She also stated that there is a toll free number, 1-800-848-LOVE, that is in use 24- hours a day for anyone wishing information on Birthright The number has been in existence since October, 1984. HONORS AWARDS Chad Adams, received the American Legion and the Honors award -at the eighth grade graduation at Harrison School on Thursday; May 23. Chad is the gradson of Paul and Althea Walkington. Congratulations Chad, from all of us here in Ringwood. GRADUATE Matt Gorski graduated from Harrison School on Thursday, May 23. After the ceremony, Matt's grandparents, Ted and Irene Gorski and Pat and Donald Dustimer went to the Gorski home to celebrate with cake and ice cream served by his mom, Una Gorski. NEW ARRIVAL Bill and Annette Cunningham are the proud parents of a little boy born Sunday, Mat.26 at 5:30 a.m. Kyle James weighed 8 lbs. 12MzOz and was 20 inches long. Little Kyle has a sister, Kristie, to greet nim on his arrival home. Maternal grandparents are Barbara and Charlie Hansen of McHenry and paternal grand­ parents are John and Dorothy Cunningham of McCullom Lake. GREAT GRANDPARENTS Brian and Donna Lynn (Er- win) Haanpaa of San Bernadino, CA. are parents of a little boy born Wednesday, May 22. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz., and was 19 inches long, and will answer to the name of Dale Edward. Maternal grandparents are A1 and Sue Jette of McHenry and Ed Erwin of Wonder Lake. ar* Mr and Mrs. Dale Haanpaa of Woodstock. Great-grandparents are Walt and-Doris Low of Ringwood and great, great-grandmother is Mabel Thomas. BIRTHDAYS "Happy Birthday" to Wendy Bruce and Blanche HoWe on June 3, with Ptennalope Beck and Lou Winn celebrating their special day June 4. Tanya Adams and Chad Bauer will be adding another caiidle to their cakes June 5. We wish all of you wonderful people a very happy day.
