Area Junior High graduates, from the Ringwood area, Monday, June 3, are Lisa Ackerman, Dawn Biederman, David Ferrara, Kieth Lehman, Ryan Petska, Shane Sperry and Allen VariEvery, Jon Brandon Kearns, Lavin, Nichole Marciniak, Todd Owens and Daniel Paulsen. Mr. and Mrs. John Klap- perich's grandson, Daniel Klapperich and Mr. and Mrs. Walt Low's granddaughter, Marcy (Erwin) Jette were also among the graduates at John- sbtirg Junior High. SCHOOL HONORED Again, Ringwood School has been honored by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). For the third consecutive year, the school received a first place award in the Special Projects category for Junior American Citizens (JAC) clubs in the state of Illinois. ' The project honored was the school's John Hancock Hand­ writing Contest held in 1964.. The first grade students learned about John Hancock and his contribution to American history. They then submitted their best "JohnHancock's" in a handwriting competition which reinforced the school's em­ phasis on improving pen­ manship. The ftingwood school JAC is sponsored by the Kishwaukee Trail Chapter of the DAR. Mrs. Ferol Tomlinson, head teacher and Learning Center director, is the school group's advisor. HOSPITALIZED George Lehman on Ridgeway Road was hospitalized last week for a series of tests. We aren't sure of the results of these tests at this writing, b|it our prayers are with you, George. GRADUATION PARTY P&tti Miller and sons, Lee, club leader, Bobbie Wolff, 344-3177. ANNUAL CAMPOUT The annual church campout will be June 14, 15 and 16 at Chain-O-Lakes State Parte. Saturday evening will be a huge potluck stew. Everyone bring vegetables, meat, etc., to add to the pot, and enjoy ' singing around the caimrfire. Sunday will be regular church services at each church; come as you are. Following the services, a potluck will be at the campground at noon. Let's have a great weekend! FIRST CORfMUNION Mickey Daurio made his first communion Sunday, May 26, at St. Patrick Church in McHenry. This being a special day, Nancy and Mick rented a tent to put on for protection against the weather in case it turned out bad. But the weather man was in favor of a good day for this festivity, so the tent was protection against the sun in­ stead. There were 50 to 60 relatives and friends who gathered to wish little Mickey well, and since it was such a nice day , a lot of folks stayed until almost dark. Congratulations Mickey. FOOD COOP A notice to all involved in the food co-op; the meetings have been changed due to the drop-off days and time. Regular order meetings will be the same time, 7:30 p.m. at the home of Nancy Dauno. Dro|>-offdayistobe one week later, at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Pat Malo. Scott and Erik, Doris and Walt Low attended a graduation party, from Junior High, for Marcy Jette. daughter of Sue and A1 Jette, Sunday, June 2. There were around 50 relatives and friends there to congratulate Marcy, with a lot of visiting and volleyball going on. Then, it turned cool ana rained a little so it sent a lot of people inside. Congratulations Marcy. UMW The UMW and ladies of Ringwood church are planning "Lunch Out" on the regular UMW meeting date. While playing baseball Sunday, June 2, you know, it was Chris who broke his foot again and will be in a cast again this summer.
