Paulette homered for Greg's. Nancy had two hits. ' Johnsburg basketball camp to JOHNSBURG - Johnsburg ounced its SkyhaWk High School has announ dates for the 1985 Basketball Camp. From July 8-12, there wt^be^o sessions per day. One wm be for those goingjnto grades 5-8 in the 85-86 school year, which will run from 8 a.m. until noon. The evening session, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., will be for those JHS grid camp set JOHNSBURG -- Johnsburg High School head football coach Randy Oberembt has announced the dates for the 1985 Johnsburg Skyhawk Non-Contact Football Camp. The junior high session, for in coming 6th, 7th and 8th graders, will be held July 22', 24, 25, 26, 29, and 31 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. each night. The high school session will be held at the same time, same days. All workouts will be held at Johnsburg High School on the main football field. Weightlifting instruction will be provided in the Skyhawk weight room. Motiva tional speakers and films will be viewed in the high school auditorium and classrooms. The cost of both sessions is $15 per student. This fee includes camp t-shirt and all camp ac tivities. Individual awards are available and will be presented on Wednesday, July 31 at the final camp meeting. Campers will need supporters, sweatsocks, shorts, football or turf-type shoes and their camp shirts. No football equipment will be worn, although instruction in the wearing and proper use of all football equipment will be part of the junior high camp program. The camp staff will include Oberembt, who will handle the quarterbacks and running backa. JHS assistants Bill Hurckes and Mike Roberts will take care of the .receivers and linemen, respec tively. • Guest speakers will include Richard Corpus, head coach at Peotone High School, a school which has made three state playoff appearances in his 14 years. He will speak on the runn ing game. Also, Tiskilwa High School coach Randy Kruger will be on hand. A favorite at last year's camp, COach Kruger's teams are noted for their offensive line play. He has coached 24 all-conference linemen during his nine years at Tiskilwa. He will speak again on offensive line play. The camp staff will include coaches from Johnsburg High School and Johnsburg Junior High, in addition to various guest speakers. Contest will be conducted and awards will be given in the follow ing areas: 1 on 1; free throws; Hot Shot; Spot Shooting; Mr. Defense; Mr. Hustle; Most Improved; Coaches' Award and MVP. The cost is $10 per athlete. The tuition may be given to coach Bill Hurckes at Johnsburg High School, or just bring it along to the first day of camp. . Each athlete must bring athletic supporters, socks, shoes, shorts and shirts. The camp t-shirts will be handed out as soon as possible. Grades 5-8 should register bet ween 7:15 and 7:45 a.m. on the first day of camp, and grades 9-12 should register between 4:15 and 4:45 the first day. Idle Jack's watched as Fox Hole lost to Huemann's Water Condi tioning, 9-2, and Rusty Nail Inn, 17-2. In other games, Gambler West bashed Greg's Never Inn 21-2, and Rusty Nail edged Gambler East 14-8. Details from Monday's outings: Rusty Nall Inn 14, Gambler East • The Rusty Nail Inn broke away from a 7-7 tie with six fourth-inning runs en route to a 14-8 Win over Gambler East. In the fourth, Randy Thlel had an RBI triple, Dave Sundby drove in a run with a single and Doug Freund's two-run base hit closed the Nail inning off. Gambler East had scored six of its own in the bottom of the third, the big blows two two-run hits by Don Prazak and Fred Stocker, and run- scoring hits by John Michaels and Jim Arndt.
