Olson, of 1508 Pine St., McHenry, was riding a motorcycle east on Elm Street when a westbound car made a left turn in front of him, the police report..said. The driver of the car, Harold J. Collis, of 906 Hanley, told police he did not remember how the accident; occurred. Collis, a passenger in his car, Mae F. Collis, and Olson were taken to NIMC by the fire department. Collis was ticketed for failure to yield the right-of-way. The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. last Tuesday. Brian W. Pender, of 3703 James St., McHenry, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after his car struck the rear of another vehicle in the 200 block of South Front Street. The driver of the other car, Kimberly D. Carpenter, of 300 Opatny, Fox River Grove, said her vehicle then struck an auto operated by Edwin C. Wittrock, of 7713 Arbor, Wonder Lake. No injuries were reported in this accident which occurred at 6:30 p.m. June 25. Marshall S. Rizer, 1229 Hartmann, Schaumburg, was ticketed for failure to reduce speed after his car crashed into the rear of another vehicle which was attempting to make a left turn from Crystal Lake Road to Royal Drive. Sometimes between 1 and 5:15 a.m. on Friday, June 21st, a burglar broke into Bimbo's Tavern and Restaurant, 1318 N. Riverside Dr., McHenry. Entry was made by forcing a side door. Once inside, the burglar located and took a large amount of cash. Nothing else in the tavern was disturbed; it ap­ pears the burglar was interested only in money. McHenry Police believe that the suspect acted alone while commiting this crime.
