Healing is for any problem of daily life: illness, cancer, heart, arthritis, eyes or hearing, pain, family problems, jobs, or mental stress. Parents are urged to bring children to be blessed to Mary Chapel, lower level, where the service will be cabled in. Those interested in attending are encouraged to come early for proper seating. The guest pastor holds healing masses at St. Rita Church, Old Indian Trail in Aurora the second Wednesday of each month, at 7:30 p.m. A 3:30 p.m. mass is scheduled at St. Mary's Church in Woodstock, Aug. 18. program nesday evenings during the school year. An intensive two- year confirmation program is also offered at that time. Senior Highs is offered on Sunday evenings. Recently, 15 Senior Highs from the church went to Appalachia for a service project. The Shepherd's Bells or Adult Handbell Choir Jiirected by Brian Anderson, and the Senior Vocal Choir directed by Rosemary Schneider, and Accompanied by Sally fftanktelow, will provide special1 music for each of the worship Services. Pastor Roger Schneider will present a message centered around the meaning of Christmas. The special Christmas in July celebration has been planned to remind everyone that the blessings of Christmas are with everyone throughout the entire year. The congregation is following its summer schedule of worship with sevices at 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. Members of the community are invited to join the congregation in all of Its worship services and programs. Linda Misewicz-Perconte, pastor of Mount Hope United Methodist Church in Pistakee Highlands, was ordained an Elder at the annual session of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church this June. The ^annual con ference session met for four days on the Northern Illinois University campus in Dekalb. The Rev. Misewicz-Perconte has ministered to the Mount Hope congregation for the past three years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Masters of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanaton. She is married and has one son. Ordination as an Elder is the final step toward full clergy membership in a conference of the United Methodist Church. It follows a minimum of seven years of higher education, or dination as a Deacon with probationary clergy mem bership in the denomination, and at least one year of ex perience as achurch pastor.
