P«p»u McHENRY PLAINDEALER Section A W«dn--day, July 17,19BS REAL ESTATE SALES BOOM • Coldwell Banker has an­ nounced that their June residential real estate sales transactions were 1,325 with a $130 million volume, up 33 percent from last year's 993 with a $95.5 million volume, marking an all-time record breaking month for the 62-year old Chicago firm. The firm also reported record first half sales with 7,142 sales first half 1984 figures of 6,003. Dollar volume jumped 21 per­ cent over 1984 with $679 million as compared to $562 million for the same six months last year. A bank spokesman said the falling mortgage interest rates transactions, up 19 percent over and rising tamiiy income are factors contributing to the up­ ward trend in real estate sales. LOCAL RAIL ON TIME Commuter rail on-time per­ formance dropped 1.2 percent in April 1985 compared to April 1984 because of repeated delays en the Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railroad (CSS&SB). System-wide, the railroad's on- time performance for April 1985 was 95.7 percent, compared to last April s record of 96.9 per­ cent. The Chicago and North Western North Line was on time 98.8 percent of the time in April 1985, down from last year's 99.9 percent.
