McQueeny's first supervisor when he started work there six years ago was his dad, Pat, who is supervisor of environmental services at NIMC. He believes t at his father has had great influence on his work as he told Scott in advance that he would be harder on him because he was a relative. "Over the years I had to prove myself as an employee and not as a boss's son," he said. McQueeny is a crew leader in environmental services at NIMC and finds the work a learning experience in which he has a chance to ask a lot of questions. He is taking management classes through McHenry County Junior College and will earn a series of twelve certificates. McQueeny says he is a master of no sport but is interested in and participates in many. He plays golf, tennis and volleyball, and he met his "closest and best friend" at NIMC's ski club last winter. Tom Walsh, the assistant director of materials management at NIMC, said that sincerity is one of McQueeny's outstanding qualities. 4'He is one of our finest workers,w Walsh said. "We always know we can count on him." Bob Davenport, one of Scott's supervisors said, "No job is too small for Scott to take seriously."
