Community Many events highlight F iesta Days One of McHenry't favorite bonds, "Beef Freond and the Fireball 8" (left) performed Tuesday night at the Pearl Street Park band shell before a lively audience. The senior division of the "Name That Tune" competition was held in the park Tuesday night as well. "Fireball 8", which specialises in old-time tunes and ragtime music, appeared through the courtesy "of Mayor William and the First National Busse Bank. Also on hand Tuesday night, the parade marshal, former mayor Donald Doherty, was honored by family and friends. There was a complete selection of concessions as hundreds of people were at the park to witness the festivities. Prior to the events in the park, area athletes took to seven miles of road in the annual River Run. The winner of the event was former McHenry cross-country star, Steve Carby. Hundreds of area teens (right) flocked to Petersen Park Wednesday night to dance to the tunes played by the popular "Jimmy Mac". Teen Night has become one of the best attended events during the Fiesta Days summer celebration, which Is designed to provide a little something for everyone. Other mid-week events included a track meet at McHeniy's Mc- Cracken Field where youths participated in a variety of track and field events.
