Annette graduated from McHenry County College with an associate degree in business data process­ ing. She is presently employed by the Satellite Systems Division of Oak Industries in Crystal Lake. John is a 1983 graduate of Jacobs High School in Algonquin. He is presently employed as a carpenter for Kitchen Classics in Wilmette. An August 23, 1986 wedding is planned. 4 Peterson-Maloney Eileen Mary Peterson of Forest Park, daughter of Patricia and Lawrence Peterson of Minneapolis, MN, was married to David Maloney of Cary, son of Ann and William Maloney of Cary. They were married at a 3 p.m. ceremony, July 13, 1985, at St.>Mi- chael's Catholic Church in Wheatc Father Jim Barney officiated double-ring ceremony. The bride, who was given away' by her father, wore her mother's gown of French rose point type lace over white satin. The fitted bodice was detailed with an illusion yokev Her skirt was alternating tiers of scalloped lace and tulle on each side, extending into a cathedral train. The fingertip veil was held in place with a matching lace tierra. The matron of honor was Deborah Beasley of Denver, Colo. Brides­ maids were Deborah Peterson, of the Canal Zone, Panama; Lori McVay, of Columbus, Ohio; and Joellyn Peterson of Minneapolis, MN. The bridal attendants wore floor- length moire gowns in hyacinth, with puffed short sleeves and large ruffles around the off-the-sholder neckline. Best man was Jaime Assaf of Boca Raton, Fla. Groomsmen were Marshall Goss, Crystal Lake; Eric LBensen, Cary; and Terry Bishop, [owa City, Iowa. Ushers were Chris laloney of Cary and John Peterson if Chiquimula, Guatemala. Eileen has a B.A. in economics from Kenyon College in Ohio. She works at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. David has a B.A. in history from Kenyon and now works at Suburban Trust and Savings Bank in Oak Park. Showers-Sleconich Allison Showers, 153 Hilltop Dr., Lake in the Hills, daughter of Don­ ald and Dorothy Showers, was mar­ ried to Robert Sleconich, 14612 Pleasant Valley Rd., Woodstock, son of John and Francina Sleconich on July 13, 1985 at St. Mary's Church in Woodstock. Father John Cahill performed the 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony. The bride wore a crystal organza gown with an asymmetrically draped bodice and melon sleeves. The tiered bouffant skirt extended into a cathedral-length train. She w o r e a l a r g e - b r i m m e d h a t , trimmed with Venise lace and crys­ tal organza, with a short veil. Maid of honor was Kimberly Ne- pil of Algonquin. Bridesmaids were Melanie Meyer, Valparaiso, Ind.; Cindy Kilgore, Union; and Vickie Witthoeft of Lake in the Hills. They wore apricot chiffon dresses with one shoulder bodice, with removal chiffon jackets. Best man was John Sleconich of Carbondale. Groomsmen were Tim O'Dwyer, New York City; Mark Skites, Macomb; and Doug Showers of Lake in the Hills. Ushers were Bob Bagby of Kana­ wha, Iowa and Greg Showers of Lake in the Hills. Ring bearer was Timothy G aulke of McHenry. Allison graduated from Jacobs High School and attended Elgin Community College and McHenry County College. She is employed by Rogers Jewelers of Crystal Lake. Robert graduated from Marian Central High School in Woodstock and graduated from Western Illi­ nois University in Macomb. He is now a graduate student at WIU. The couple has made their home at Macomb. Vogt-Berry In a ceremony at five o'clock May 25, the former Kathy Vogt and Gene Berry repeated their marriage vows at Shepherd of the Hills Lu­ theran Church, with the Reverend Roger Schneider officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Vogt of McHenry and the groom is from Monroe, La. Attending her sister as matron of honor was Sherry Fairchild; and the bridesmaid was Terri Hin- spater. Acting as best man was Jim Ayotte, with Mark Vogt as grooms­ man. The ringbearer was the bride's godchild Chad Fairchild; and ushers were Gary Fairchild and DaveTevis. A reception followed at Hob Nob II in Crystal Lake for 170 guests. The bride was employed at Kemper Insurance Co., Long Grove, as a supervisor in the Loss Control Engineering Department. The groom is Southern Regional Manager for the same company. They are making their home in The Woodlands, Tex., a suburb of Houston. Many traditions behind wedding ring Receive a ring?
