Thirty-five classmates attended with their spouses. Lohse, son of Fred K. and Pat Lohse of 3502 Lake Vista Lane, Wonder Lake, has grad uated from the U.S. Air Force audio visual equipment repair course at Lowry Air Force Base, Colo. During the course, students were taught to inspect, repair and main tain still and motion picture camera systems, digital programmers and record players. They also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Lohse is scheduled to serve with the 1367th Audiovisual Squadron in West Germany. He is a 1984 graduate of Wood stock High School. Teachers hold meet The annual legislative breakfast sponsored by the McHenry County Teachers Association, will be from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28. at the Hob Nob in Crystal Lake. Featured speakers will include State Sen. Jack Schaffer, Rep. Dick Klemm, Representative Ron Wait, and lobbyist Dan Burkhalter from the Illinois Education Association. According to Joyce Cotteleer, leg' islative chairperson for the associa tion, the theme of this year's forum will be Illinois educational reform. Legislators will review key reform topics and discuss implementation. Burkhalter will address concerns about the current Social Security- /pension issue. The McHenry County Teachers Association is affiliated with the Na tional Education Association. It rep resents teachers and support per sonnel in twenty school districts throughout McHenry County. "I hope we move on it and quit bickering about $10,000." Bolger made a motion to set the capital development fees at the low er, commercial rate. The motion passed 6-1. Aid. Michael Teta (2nd) voted against the motion. Aid. Eliza beth Nolan (1st) was absent. In other terms of the agreement, the council okayed payment of the fees over a three-year period, no interest on the fees, no annexation fees and no motel taxes. Concerning the latter item, there is no motel tax at this time and the builders were concerned about it In the future. Aldermen Snell and Smith voted against the five-year moratorium, saying that the developers should have a little faith in the city council. The annexation agreement con cerned a 41.5 acre parcel just south of Northern Illinois Medical Center (NIMC) on Route 31. According to Tyshenko, the hotel will have 58 rooms, banquet facilities to seat 400 people, a cocktail lounge, dining room and indoor swimming pool. The entire tract is divided into three parcels, of which the hotel will be built on about 10 acres. A second parcel, consisting of just over eight acres, is tentatively slated for a health club. Father Corbally spoke on the teachings of St. Paul, the church today and in the past, changes since Vatican II, women's role in the church, trends today and other topics. The guild's next event will be Monday, Oct. 7, when the annual Membership Tea is scheduled. Mass will be celebrated at noon. At the tea, new members will be presented and a tribute will be paid to honor ary members of the guild.
