So are current warranty extensions or out- standing recalls which may apply to that vehicle. And the service depart- ment is often in a position to provide "goodwill" adjustments which you might have to pay for elsewhere. Loaner cars are available for long-term repairs but Oak-Land's parts department maintains an extensive stock of over $600,000 worth of spares. Parts not in stock can easily be obtained during the twice daily runs to the Ford Parts Depot nearby. By the way, the parts department is open at night too, for-do-it-your- selfers who need replacements. But there's more than just service bays. Oak-Land maintains a com- plete body shop for insurance colli- sion repairs to all makes and models of cars including a paint booth which produces a factory-finish paint job. It's all designed to ensure that everything is done to the customer's satisfaction. And if you aren't happy, Oak-Land wants to know. That's why there's a little card on the mirror on which you can register your con- cerns and send it right back to them. Those cards don't end up in a ing, and new taillights with chrome detailing. Other changes include making the 180-horsepower, 5.7L V8 engine with electronic fuel injection standard on the Caprice Classic LTZ, adding more acoustical insulation to further reduce engine, wind and road noise, and new interior fabrics and trim for all models. On Lumina Coupe and Sedan, the big news for ‘93 is the addition to the standard equipment list of a 3.l litre V6 engine and air conditioning. The Hydra-matic 4T60-E is an intelligent 4-speed automatic transmission that combines the proven design of its predecessor with the latest electronic technology to give the driver the feel of a "seamless" powertrain. It is available with the CH litre V6 and 3.4 litre V6-equipped models. Even dropping off your car is easy. A heated vestibule offers two sets of envelopes: one with place for explanation why the car is here and a second for rush drops with a spot for a phone number to contact you later for the details. It's little extras like this and the free Globe and Mail and coffee while you wait, that make this a good spot to head for when there's problems, Trebble puts it succinctly, "A car repair is traumatic enough. We try to make it as easy as we can." new brake/transmission shift inter- lock on automatic transmission cars, and improved steering gear offering the driver better "on-centre" steering feel in Corsicas equipped with the optional V6 engine. Beretta - an award-winning coupe on "looks" alone - offers several exhaust system improvements to reduce the amount of noise in the passenger compartment, and has the same fabric protection and steering feel upgrades in the V6-powered models as does the Corsica. A new brake/transmission shift interlock safety feature has been added to cars with automatic transmission and a new low oil sensor on 4-cylinder units. Cavalier has been Canada's most popular car for a couple of years, and Chevrolet's most popular car with first-time buyers for longer than that. Its success results from being North America's lowest priced vehicle with the combination of standard power door locks with automatic locking feature and standard anti-lock brakes. "
