To meet overwhelming local demand for this unique and proven method of learning, a third Kumon Math Centre is opening here this month. The new Kumon Math Centre is located at the Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Drive. The other Kumon Math Centres in Oakville are located at Munn‘s United Church, 5 Dundas Highway East and St. Paul‘s United Church, 454 Rebecca Street. "The decision to open a third Centre in Oakville was based on the positive response to the other centres here and â€" the increasing demand by Oakvilleâ€"area parents for the program," _ says Julie Godel of Kumon Educational Institute of Canada. The Kumon Method which originated in Japan 35 years ago is the world‘s â€" largest math learning program. The method _ allows children to solve problems by themselves â€" and progress at their own pace through a series of individual worksheets â€" covering preâ€"school level through to calculus â€" until the work is perfect and c omplete l y understood within a specific time frame. Introduced in Canada more than 10 years ago, the method is now studied by almost 15,000 students in about 170 Kumon Math Centres across the country. Kumon has helped more than eight million children aged four to 15, in 27 countries worldwide. The cost is $55 per month with an initial enrolment fee of $30. "Kumon is a w o n d e rf u 1 program," says Beverly Paul, instructor of the new Oakville Centre, whose son is currently enroled in the program. "The individual attention, review, and constant repetition that Kumon provides, is what sets it apart Kumon Method is sixâ€"y e arâ€" o1 d Andrew â€" Greco, from any other One of _ the method of Oakville students learning." benefiting from the Starting a Business panel on Oct. 27th Are you considering starting a business?
