New law forces pets to be vaccinated November 23, 1994 The Halton Regional Health Department is remindâ€" ing region pet owners that as of Jan. 1st, 1995, all cats and dogs in Halton must be vaccinated against rabies. Rabies vaccination is important for two reasons: 1.
