While Oakville's Amanda Cicchini and Diana Matheson will suit up for the national team, Kara Lang will miss the game due to an injury. Lang suffered a knee injury during the team's training camp earlier this week in Nanaimo, B.C. Canadian coach Even Pellerud put together an experienced lineup for the game, which kicks off Sunday at 6 p.m. at Centennial Stadium. Lang, a veteran of 53 international games, would likely have been on the roster, which also includes veterans Charmaine Hooper, Andrea Neil and Christine Sinclair. The friendly will be Canada's fifth this year in preparation for qualification for next year's FIFA Women's World Cup in China. "We have a couple of exciting months to look forward to with a number of top-standard international games lined up," Pellerud said.
