The University of Manitoba grad had 13 points and three service aces in Canada's 26-24, 27-25, 18-25, 25-18 win over Italy. Lewis also had 28 serve receptions in the bronze-medal game. "It has been a long tour but we are pleased to have beaten Italy today," said head coach Glenn Hoag in a Team Canada release. "Our (players) used their skills and worked through their mistakes. To have played Italy, Poland, Cuba and Portugal here makes this one of the top tournaments in the world, and it has been an invaluable experience for us." It was the second medal in a row for Canada after it won bronze at the inaugural Pan American Cup last month in Tijuana, Mexico. Canada is currently ranked 13th in the world. It played in a pool with Cuba (ranked 10th), Portugal (18th) and Poland B. Cuba handed Canada its only loss in pool play. Lewis had 12 points in the 25-22, 25-18 and 25-23 loss.
