The Coyotes captured the Ontario title and Water Gretzky Cup last weekend by winning all four of their games at the provincial championship tournament in Brampton, including a 10-0 romp over the Brampton Radicals in the final. Oakville also downed Brampton 12-9, Burlington Wave 65 and Sarnia Bulldogs 11-1 during the tournament. "We could not have asked more from this group who played through... July's sweltering heat," said Coyotes head coach Matt Swain, who is assisted by Rod Yeo. Oakville, which won the Oakville Waterfront and Burlington Wave tournaments earlier this season and was a finalist at the Brampton NARCH qualifier, is now preparing for the North American Roller Hockey Championships. The Coyotes are the only Canadian team to qualify for the top level 10/Division at the tournament, which begins July 24 at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. "We are looking forward now to competing against some of the best teams in North America and I feel our team is ready," Swain said. Players on the team include Brenton Chilton, Emily Mann, Michael Yeo, Michael Prapavessis, Tyler Kitzul, Hunter Swain, Cole Taylor, Luke Shiplo and Matthew Kaslik. Shiplo led the provincials in scoring and was named finals MVP, while Kaslik was named the tournament's top goalie.
