34 - The Oakville Beaver, Friday October 13, 2006 www.oakvillebeaver.com Oakville Arts Council member headliner at Living Arts Centre Oakville Arts Council member Roselyn Brown is headlining at Mississauga's RBC Theatre, Living Arts Centre on Oct. 20. It's not the first time the flutist has walked out on stage at the Living Arts Centre, performing with big bands, jazz groups and other local musicians, but it marks the first time she'll be headlining her own show. After years of performing with some of Toronto's best jazz musicians, Brown has developed her own unique jazz performance style, playing smooth jazz and Latin tunes. Currently putting the finishing touches on her debut album, Brown is looking forward to sharing her talents and love of music with her fans. Featured at the concert will be smooth jazz recording artist, Stan Fomin on keyboards. His love of performing, arranging and composition has taken him across the former Soviet Union and Western Europe. Since 1997, Fomin has composed music for television and film projects, written several new compositions and released his debut CD, which is currently being played on the radio. Also featured in the concert is the percussion of Aline Morales with Maracatu Nunca Antes. Roselyn Brown and Maracatu Nunca Antes play Friday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. at RBC Theatre, Living Arts Centre.
