Local lawyers have donated their time to prepare simple wills and simple powers of attorney for members of the community, where all funds raised will go to support The Lung Association. A power of attorney costs $50, and a simple will is $100. To book an appointment or to receive more information, contact The Lung Association at 905-696-0077 or lcarde@on.lung.ca. here does the inspiration for written words come from? Where can it be displayed for all to see and muse? For me, inspiration comes from the people around me and the many sights and interesting events that happen. The ability to express your emotions and thoughts into the written word is amazing. It is a way to find yourself. It took me 17 years to figure out that the real Katie Wright is most herself when she is writing, doing something she loves among all the pressure she is surrounded by. As a Grade 12 student at Holy Trinity, I have many thoughts running through my mind every day. This year is an exciting year for all graduating students at any school. There is more than the feeling of excitement; there is the immense stress that we are all put under. University applications, grades, tests, everything seems to be riding on grades. When things seem too tough to handle I find that writing relieves the stress, and a way becomes something relaxing. I don't expect everyone to start writing when they're stressed; it's obviously something that you have to enjoy. For others it may be playing an instrument, playing a sport, or just basically doing absolutely nothing. I found this year has been really tough, and decided that rather than just writing my thoughts and feelings in a journal that is hidden somewhere, W I'd create a blog. The main reason for starting a blog was not just for me, but also for the benefit of others. I also liked the thought of my writing being displayed for others to see. I do believe that if you have a talent you should flaunt it. I'm not saying that you should go around bragging about how amazing your fashion sense is or how you got a 95 per cent average on a chemistry test. You should show off the things that really count. I believe that I am most myself when I have a pen and blank paper in front of me, or a keyboard and a blank document just waiting for me to type something, anything! The point I am trying to make through this entire article is for readers to find themselves. The most important thing that waits for us in life is to figure out who we really are. We are molded by so much; society, the media, and technology. All play a huge role in our lives, but ultimately we decide who we are and who we want to become. I've found myself. For too long I've overlooked who I really am. I tried to be what others wanted, but in the end I decided to find me and I did. It has benefited me in ways that I cannot begin to explain. I know that I am happier now that I know who I am. That is what is most important. The talents I have I am going to flaunt, I am going to relieve stress by writing and I am not going to worry about university because I know I am going somewhere. I just have to believe.
