Cailie O'Hara and Heather Clark helped the University of Toronto Blues win their third straight Ontario University Athletics title and followed it up with a bronze medal at the Canadian Interuniversity Sports championships last weekend. U of T was undefeated in OUA play this season, posting a 12-0-2 record in the regular season. The Blues then beat Queen's 1-0 in penalty strokes in the semifinals before edging York 1-0 in the OUA final. O'Hara, a third-year forward, scored the Blues' only goal in regulation in Sunday's 2-1 bronze medal victory over the defending champion University of Alberta Pandas, a game that was eventually decided in penalty strokes. After scoring 12 goals, second-most in the OUA, O'Hara was named to the OUA first team all-star for the second straight year and also earned a spot on the first all-Canadian team. She was also an Ontario second-team all-star in 2004. Clark was another valuable member of the Blues' offence. She scored seven times, the sixth-highest total in the OUA. Clark scored the winning goal in last year's national bronze-medal game as U of T edged Guelph 1-0. *Based on a 3 person household with October 2006 electricity and natural gas rates. ©Union Gas Limited 2006 11/2006 UNIVERSITYSPORTS selections to the team this year.
