The event is from 7 8:30 p.m. Entitled Skating to Learn...Reflections on Later Life Learning, Enright's lecture is presented by the Sheridan Elder Research Centre (SERC) in celebration of lifelong learning. Enright's innovative approach to the coverage of world events has made him an icon of Canadian journalism. He has been the host of CBC Radio One's The Sunday Edition since 2000. Prior to joining The Sunday Edition, he hosted This Morning for three years, and he spent 10 years hosting CBC Radio's As It Happens. Enright established As It Happens as a program that breaks through the boundaries of standard news broadcasting. He joined As It Happens after two-and-a-half years as managing editor of CBC Radio News. Prior to that, he held a number of important editorial positions with leading Canadian magazines and newspapers. There is no fee for this event, which will be held in the Sheridan Centre for Animation and Emerging Technologies (SCAET) auditorium, Room S235, located off Ceremonial Road at the Trafalgar Road Campus of the Sheridan College Institute.
