Steve Somerville and his high-tech golf simulator might be able to help. Somerville, a retired 47-year-old Oakville resident, opened the Oakville Indoor Golf Centre this past winter as a way to work on his game and offer others the chance to do the same. The centre's main feature "One guy... shot is the About Golf simulator, which 150-something. offers a variety of ways for golfers to fine-tune their skills. For the second time in the past year, a local rep player has scored three times in less than 21 seconds -- the long-time National Hockey League record held by former Chicago Blackhawks forward Bill Mosienko. Ten-year-old Colt Jaime was the latest Oakville player to turn the (natural) trick, sniping three goals in 20 seconds during a minor atom AA game last weekend in St. Catharines. Michael Paonessa, then with the minor midget AAA Rangers, scored three times in 19 seconds last March. "My first goal, a St. Catharines guy fell down and I had a one-on-one with the goalie and put it short side," recalled Jaime, a Grade 4 student at Our Lady of Peace Catholic School. "The second goal, Robert Hudson won the faceoff to Tim Arnold and he passed it back to me, I had another (breakaway) and went same side. The third one... I shot it upstairs." Jaime, who estimated this was his third hat trick of the season, credited his linemates Hudson and Arnold for their unselfish play. The quick trick came late in the second period with the Rangers trailing 1-0. Oakville went on to win 6-1. -- Jon Kuiperij QUICK TRICK: Colt Jaime, a 10-year-old hockey player with the Oakville minor atom AA Rangers, shows off the puck with which he scored three goals in 20 seconds last weekend against St. Catharines.
