The fertilizer sale has become an annual tradition in southeast Oakville as over 100 congregation members volunteer each year to support the requirements of the "Big Day". It is definitely a TEAM effort and the sale is successful due to the support and efforts of its volunteers. The church plays a major role in the community as it has become a primary meeting place or hub for many organizations within Oakville. Some of the organizations that use the church facilities are Children Choice Day Care, CGIT, Scouts, Kumon, Dealing with Dogs and the East Oakville Seniors Group. It also supports a number of good causes such as the Halton Women's Place, Kerr Street Ministries, Sleeping Children Around the World and Action for Aids to name a few. The monies raised from the fertilizer sale will be used to upgrade the church facilities in order to make it wheel chair accessible and to improve the overall layout of the church. The hope is to raise enough monies through the annual fertilizer sale and other fundraising activities to support the financial obligations of the church's renovation project.
