Burlington's Glenview took first place in the midget, bantam and atom divisions. Sheridan won the tyke boys' race in one minute, 6.04 seconds, two-tenths ahead of Gladys Speers. The roles were reversed in the tyke mixed final with Speers taking first in 1:06.06 and Sheridan placing second. Each school earned 17 points, leaving them tied atop the tyke standings. Maple Grove was close behind with 15 points. Maple Grove won the tyke girls' race in 1:08.85, almost three seconds ahead of its nearest rival, Glenview. Maple Grove also posted victories in the atom boys' and bantam boys' races. The atom boys narrowly missed a meet record, turning in a winning time of 1:01.88, seven one-hundredths of a second off the record. The bantam boys' team won its race in 1:02.19 to edge Glenview. Twenty-nine schools took part in the annual relay meet, which features students in Grades 3-6 from the board's smaller schools and has three 4x100metre relays in each division.
