Registration is at 1 p.m. and the walk starts at 2 p.m. The estimated finish time is about 4 p.m. Last year, the inaugural walks raised over $46,000 and had more than 300 participants. The 2007 goal is to raise $80,000 and have more than 400 people take part walking, running or riding. ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, if more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It is the most common form of motor neuron disease that causes nerve cells to degenerate and can strike any age, any gender and any ethnic origin. The walk raises funds to research a cure and provide support services for those living with ALS.
