Stewart died in a head-on crash on Saturday, June 16. He was driving in the eastbound lane of Hwy. 7, about eight kilometers east of Shakespeare, when a westbound vehicle pulled into his lane. His 11-year-old daughter Emily, who was at his side at the time of the accident, was taken to McMaster Hospital in Hamilton with critical injuries. Doug Stewart On Thursday, her family reported she is doing well.
