Yes, Santa Claus will soon be making his yearly ride down the streets of Oakville in his great red sleigh! The Oakville Santa Claus Parade Committee has been as busy as elves over the summer preparing for this years' Parade, which takes place Saturday, Nov. 17, starting at 9 am. This years' theme is Christmas through the Decades, intended to tie in with the Town's 150th Anniversary. The parade is now accepting applications for float entries. Application forms can be printed at www.oakvillesantaclausparade.ca by clicking on Registration. Deadline for entries is Oct. 26 or the first 50 entries, whichever comes first. Once again, children can look forward to entering the annual colouring contest and possibly winning the chance to ride in the parade along with the Grand Marshall. The parade will begin at Lakeshore Road and Reynolds, go west on Lakeshore to Kerr Street, north on Kerr and end at Kerr and Stewart Streets.
