20 - The Oakville Beaver, Friday June 13, 2008 www.oakvillebeaver.com Hollywood under the stars in Glen Abbey The second annual Movies in the Park fundraiser is being held on Saturday, June 14 to raise money in support the Maternal Child Unit at OakvilleTrafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). Join family, friends and neighbours at Nottinghill Park in Glen Abbey to watch Dreamworks The Bee Movie under the moon and stars; the movie will start at approximately 8:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted at each entrance point and 100 per cent of proceeds will go to the Oakville Hospital Foundation to support the Maternal Child Unit with their ongoing needs. The community hospital services thousands of families in the Oakville area, all of whom deserve superior health care, according to the Nottinghill Park residents. The event aims to support and create awareness throughout the community for the positive work done by OTMH. The Foundation's role is to raise funds for OTMH and awareness of the need for community support as government funding can not alone provide for the kind of quality care we know and expect from our community hospital. This unique event in Oakville hopes to attract more than 200 families. With the help of local community sponsors, such as O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP, Angie McKinnon with RE/MAX, Hasty Market, and Meridian Credit Union, families will enjoy a memorable experience, while making a difference to the health of our community. The second annual Movies in the Park will feature on-site raffles courtesy of Soccer World, the NHLPA, The Toronto Rock, Cineplex Oakville, Hush Puppies Canada, Marriott Hotels and many more. The evening kicks off at 7:45 p.m. with concessions, entertainment, demonstrations by the Oakville Fire Department, the Boston Pizza Fun Team, Miss Ontario, and many other exciting activities -- not to mention a red-carpet worthy movie. There will also be gift bags for the first 100 people to arrive. Canadian Tire Money will be accepted at par for donations.
