The Oakville Beaver photographers will be covering the various Canada Day celebrations in town, but we can't be everywhere. So, here's where you can help. Send us your favourite Canada Day picture, whether it be from a community celebration, backyard party or family get-together. There's just one condition. Your pictures must have a Canada Day theme. We want pictures of people dressed up in their best Canada Day outfits and hats waving flags, posters, banners, children (or adults) with their faces painted with Canada Day messages, birthday cakes or raising a toast to this special holiday. Your pictures will be used to produce a special Canada Day slide show on oakvillebeaver.com. Participants will show off their automotive gems at the event, which runs from 6-9 p.m. "The Classic Car Show is a great way to see many treasured vehicles of the past -- maybe even take a trip down memory lane," said Nancy Beddoe, manager of seniors services for the Town of Oakville. The Classic Car Show will be in the Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors parking lot. There will also be a barbecue and refreshments for sale, as music from the 50s fills the air.
