2- The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday July 9, 2008 www.oakvillebeaver.com Victim's family away on vacation Halton police have identified the victim of a dirt bike accident in Oakville early Saturday morning. They have not released his name. At the time of the accident the youth's family was out of the country on vacation. The accident occurred in a location northwest of Oakville in the Oaks Trails and Hillmount Drive area around 4 a.m. A young male riding a blue Yamaha 80cc dirt bike hit a cement barrier and sustained serious injuries when he struck a metal gate. He was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries. There has been no public update on his condition since Monday. At the time of the accident, the victim did not have any identification on him. In an earlier press release, police described him as between 14-16 years old.
