Experience the mirth and merriment of an old-fashioned Christmas during the event that has been moved from Heritage Park to Centriller Square (opposite Bronte Village Mall) this year. Stores will open at 9:30 a.m. Those sporting merry windows and red and green balloons will be offering refreshments, samples, demonstrations, giveaways, special offers and gift ideas. At noon, gather the family at Centriller Square to await the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Kids can visit with Santa and have their photo taken with Saint Nick until 4 p.m. There will be hot chocolate and cookies, courtesy of the Oakville Trafalgar Lions Club. Enjoy old favourites and music of the season all afternoon with performances by former Bronte Idol Emilia Sadowski, and the LAMAJANO Quartet, and members of The Entertainers, a barbershop chorus which has operated in Oakville for 40 years. At 4:45 p.m., join in carolling with the a capella voices of the Tempus Choral Society. The choir whose members number more than 90, was formed in the fall of 1999 as a celebration of the Millennium. At approximately 5:20 p.m. join Oakville's Town Crier and Mayor Rob Burton in the countdown to the tree lighting of the newlyinstalled evergreen Christmas tree at Centriller Square.
