Oakville started slowly in the final against Hamilton's Blessed Sacrament, but still managed to pull out a 33-29 victory. Earlier in the tournament, the Venom beat Hamilton Transway 32-22 and knocked off a pair of New York teams, North Coast (36-20) and PYB (38-15). Wranglers wring out gold in Vaughan Balanced scoring and strong team defence lifted the Oakville minor atom red Wranglers to the championship at the recent Marshall Drewnowsky Memorial Select Tournament in Vaughan. Oakville went 4-0-1 at the competition, allowing only three goals while scoring 13.Tournament MVP Aidan Hosein recorded two shutouts, including a 1-0 blanking of the Georgetown Raiders in the title game. Oakville had tied Georgetown 1-1 in its opening game of the tournament. The Wranglers then downed Vaughan 7-1 and Brampton 2-0 to reach the semifinal round, where they edged Thornhill 21.
