Born in Oshawa, Ontario on March 29, 1919 he is predeceased by his brother Kenneth and sister Grace (Pidduck), survived by his sister Caryne (Wilson). Frank spent most of his early adult life in Ajax, Ontario where he and his wife Pearl (Breault) raised their family. Frank was predeceased by Pearl in 1986. They are survived by their children Larry (Diana), Richard (Kelly) and Suzanne (Paul) Koenderman, 10 grandchildren and 5 and a half great-grandchildren. The last fifteen plus years of life were spent with his wife Mary (Spear) in their home in Burlington where they enjoyed a loving relationship with each other, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a large community of friends. Well known at their usual haunts for coffee, lunch or groceries, they were held in high esteem by everyone. Frank served in the Canadian Air Force during WW II and was a member of the Masonic order. A service and celebration of Frank's life will be held at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall St., Oakville, Ontario on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Stepfather to Roger and Janet. Raymond served in Europe aiding in the liberation of Holland. He received a medal of appreciation from the Netherlands on his 90th Birthday. During his working life he travelled Canada working in the farming and forestry industry. He lived in Oakville working for the town until his retirement. During his retirement years he lived in Napanee, Almira, Penticton, Oakville and Burlington. He spent his last years at The Waterford where he enjoyed great meals and excellent care. O'HARA, Gordon Dennis- May 16, 1938 ­ February 26, 2009 (Longtime employee of Consumers Gas/Enbridge Gas). Unexpectedly on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at his home in Oakville, Gord in his 71st year. Soul mate of Valerie for 53 wonderful years and her beloved husband for 46 years. Loving and devoted father of Cheryl Evans (Bruce), Helen, and John (Vicki). Adoring "Poppa" to Colin, Keely, Patrick and Samuel. Dear brotherin-law to Janis and Dennis McAughey and special uncle to their children Heather and Shannon and their families. Gord was a true gentleman who never hesitated to help friends, neighbours and strangers alike. He unselfishly gave of his time and expertise whenever needed. He loved his summers at the cottage on Lake Huron and his winters in Port Charlotte, Florida. Gord possessed a dry, quick-witted sense of humor that endeared him to everyone who knew him. Gord took pride in his many accomplishments and was a perfectionist in all that he did. He was a "backyard mechanic" and avid car enthusiast (Fords only please!), He was especially interested in classic cars and still owned his original 1955 Thunderbird. His greatest pleasure was derived from his family who loved him dearly and will miss him terribly. A service to celebrate Gord's life will be held on Monday, March 9th, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W, Oakville (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600).
