9 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, April 22, 2009 Councillor responds LESS THAN LEVEL BAR AND GRILL For all your sports and entertainment needs. Continued from page 6 If I had said "...mainly from industry, and also from highways" (note the comma) I could better understand your apparent concern and desire to straighten the record. But I said what was accurately reported: "...mainly from industry and the highways." I did not intend to hit a nerve with you or your employer, and respectfully suggest that you/they may be inserting a comma where none was intended. I stand by my comments and reiterate my concern for the quality of the air that I and my neighbours must breathe. We cannot rely upon the tree canopy to filter all the poisons that we release into the air -- we must be conscious of what's being emitted and try to reduce those pollutants from our atmosphere. I am pleased to hear that PetroCanada Lubricants continues to work to reduce their environmental impact. MARY CHAPIN, COUNCILLOR, WARD 3 Editor's note: Councillor Mary Chapin's letter was in response to a similar letter sent from Jon Hamilton. LOOKING FOR A HOUSE DJ Hot Deals Off The Grill!
