Sunningdale's junior mixed team completed the 4x400metre race in a time of 4:48.16, breaking the previous record by more than six seconds. Post's Corners set a new standard in heats of the girls' 4x100m event, crossing the line in 57.32 seconds to eclipse the previous mark by eight one-hundredths of a second. Sunningdale's victory in the mixed 4x400m race, coupled with a second-place effort in the boys' 4x100m event and fifth-place showing in the girls' 4x100m race, enabled the school to win the junior pennant with 19 points.
