OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, June 12, 2009 · 26 Polar Bears chill in the Square Chill-E Times, a fundraiser benefitting Polar Bears International, will be chillin' at Oakville's Towne Square this weekend. Set for Saturday, June 13, this fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a variety of activities available for all ages. Games will include a large jellybean guessing game, a balloon board and bouncey ball toss. Activities such as face painting will also be available for the kids. As for the prices, it depends on how much you donate. "For the guessing game, people will donate $1 for one guess and $3 for five guesses. The winner will receive all of the jellybeans and a stuffed polar bear", says Evan Formosa, who along with her friends created the fundraiser for a school project. "Participants will donate a minimum of $2 for the balloon game. Participants will then throw a dart, trying to pop the balloon. Inside the balloon will be a piece of paper with a prize on it. The person who threw the dart will win the prize indicated on the paper." Refreshments for those with a sweet tooth will also be available at the event. "We are going to be having a cotton candy machine. People will be given cotton candy for a minimum donation of $2. There will also be bottled water for a minimum donation of $1."
