Pirates plunder Volunteers needed for Labour Day Half Volunteers are needed to help stage the upcoming third annual Labour Day Oakville Half Marathon. The event, which includes a half marathon, 10K and 2K Family Fun Run/Walk, is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 7. The course will start and finish at Coronation Park, winding through both downtown Oakville and the scenic waterfront. The Labour Day Oakville Half Marathon focuses on community involvement, active living and healthy lifestyles while supporting a number of local charitable partners including the Oakville Hospital Foundation, YMCA of Oakville and the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada. The Oakville Half Marathon will depend heavily on the local community to provide the many volunteers required to stage the run through Oakville. Cheering Stations will also be positioned throughout the route.
