Oakville's U12 girls, U15 boys advance to Ontario Cup championship Two Oakville Soccer Club rep teams earned berths in the Ontario Cup finals with victories in last weekend's semifinal round. Both the Oakville's under-12 girls and U15 tier 1 boys will face the Unionville Strikers in their championship games later this month at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan. The U12 girls' final will be played Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m., while the U15 tier 1 final is slated for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. Oakville's U12 girls outscored the Vaughan Azzurri 5-3 in penalty kicks in their semifinal. The teams played to a 1-1 draw through regulation. Oakville's U15 tier 1 boys blanked the Waterloo Hawks 4-0. The other Oakville semifinalists, the U13 A boys, were eliminated with a 7-0 loss to the Ajax Thunder. Oakville already has an Ontario Cup champion this season.
