Mulvale celebrating 60 Former mayor Ann Mulvale is all set to celebrate her 60th birthday. Mulvale is using the party to funnel gifts to $Million Or More Oakville ($MOMO) through Celebrating 60 and Changing Lives, an evening of fun to raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF) on Thursday, Oct. 1. The event will be held at the Operating Engineers Banquet Hall at 2245 Speers Road in west Oakville. Everyone is invited to Ann Mulvale join Mulvale's friends and family as they support $MOMO's campaign to raise $1 million for the Stephen Lewis Foundation's grassroots efforts to turn the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa. Mulvale will do it while celebrating 60 years of memories. The event promises live entertainment, silent and live auctions, light refreshments and a cash bar . The evening of celebration will feature Sally Armstrong, $MOMO honourary chair, award-winning author and human rights activist, as emcee and will include a variety of special guest speakers. A Hockey Night in Canada jersey signed by Don Cherry and Ron MacLean donated by Ron MacLean Enterprises as well as a painting donated by Oakville's Win Henstock Gallery are just two examples of the articles available in the live auction. Those attending are invited to be a guest speaker and join in the fun while sharing a memory or funny story of Mulvale. You can also protect yourself from being the topic of a funny story -- if need be. For a donation of $1,000 dollars, receive one minute at the mike to share a Mulvale-related story. For a $100 donation, Mulvale will address a topic of your choice, or you can bid to protect yourself from a potentially embarrassing story. Get friends, colleagues, service or sports clubs together and get involved in the party with a minute at the mike. For more information and pledge forms, visit www.millionormoreslf.ca.
