There will be a three-stage roll out of flu vaccines to residents of Ontario: · Stage one ­ Seasonal flu vaccine for residents who are 65 and older or who live in a long-term care home, beginning in October. · Stage two ­ Pandemic H1N1 flu vaccine for all residents who want it, though there will be clinics for priority groups before it is available to the general population. These clinics will begin when vaccine is available, likely in November. · Stage three ­ Seasonal flu vaccine for any person over the age of six months who wants it, likely beginning in December or January. Clinic dates for residents 65 years and over are: · Oakville Seniors' Recreation Centre, 263 Kerr St. on Thursday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. · Holy Trinity Secondary School, 2420 Sixth Line, Monday, Oct. 26, 3:30-8 p.m. · Whiteoaks (south) High School, 1330 Montclair Dr., Wednesday, Oct. 28, 3:30-8 p.m. · Sir John Colborne Seniors' Centre, 1565 Old Lakeshore Rd., Friday, Nov. 6, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Residents of long-term care homes will get their flu vaccinations within their home.
