John had been a teacher with St. Catharines Separate School Board and Lincoln County Separate School Board until his retirement in 1996 having taught at a number of schools. He was particularly interested in science and experiments. He had a lifelong interest in trains especially his HO scale train set and photography. His passion was the theatre organ as he fervently supported his children's involvement in their music. John was one of many hundreds of volunteers who helped restore Shea's Buffalo theatre organ. Special thanks to all the staff of Extendicare and Dr. Brooks for their kindness, gentleness and special care during his illness. They will always be in our hearts and prayers. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass celebrating John's life will take place at St. Julia's Church on Friday at 11 am. A private ceremony of committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Rest In Peace, John.
