21 · Wednesday, November 18, 2009 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.oakvillebeaver.com Saturday, November 21, 2009, Parade starts at 9 a.m. Thanking this year's Parade sponsors & volunteers Organized by a volunteer committee, in conjunction with the Town of Oakville and the business community, the annual Oakville Santa Claus Parade features more than 50 entries, costumed characters and marching bands. While the Parade is driven by a dedicated corps of local volunteers, it is only made possible through the generous support of its corporate sponsors. "Our corporate sponsors are an integral part of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade. Sponsorship funds are used to hire marching bands and rent costumes for the many costumed characters in the Parade, publicize the event, maintain Santa's float, recognize winning entries and much more," said Pam Damoff, Chair, Oakville Santa Claus Parade. "As a community-minded Oakville company, it was an easy decision for us to become a Gold Sponsor of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade in 2007. The Parade is an event we are proud to be associated with", said Jason Guttman, President, Oakville Mazda. "Our involvement has also included working with the Oakville Professional Fire Fighters Toy Drive. We're pleased to be back again in 2009 and look forward to our continued support for the Parade when we move to our new location, QEW Mazda, in the Spring 2010. We encourage other companies to join us in this wonderful Oakville Christmas tradition." The Oakville Santa Claus Parade Committee wishes to thank all of this year's generous sponsors for their ongoing financial support for the Parade. In addition to the many volunteers who put together the floats and walking entries, over 100 volunteers come out on Parade Day to entertain and ensure the Parade runs smoothly. The generous support of Oakville's public and private sectors and the work of so many volunteers ensures the success of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade.
