In addition to the exceptional line-up of CBC Radio personalities and local actors, a unique linocut has been donated as an intermission game prize during the performance on Friday. Susan Aglukark will be performing a special song during Sunday's event. Kevin Sylvester, an awardwinning illustrator, writer and broadcaster, is not only reading at Friday performance, but is also donating an exclusive limited-edition linocut. The one-of-a-kind linocut is being donated as an intermission game prize during the evening's reading. Last year, Sylvester helped raise more than $30,000 for charity with his fundraising linocuts. He hand cuts an original works are one-of-a-kind through limiting the copies made of each design and destroying the blocks after the desired prints are impressed. Meanwhile, Sunday's performance will be highlighted by Oakville's own Juno Award-winning artist, Aglukark, who will not only read but also sing a poignant rendition of Amazing Grace during the event. Sally Armstrong, renowned journalist, human rights activist and $MOMO Honourary Chair, has often reflected that the people of Africa are waiting desperately for the favour of grace to reach them. The reading takes place at St. Matthews Parish, 1150 Monks Passage. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets will be available at the door ($20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors).
