"Of course my office is open throughout the year to assist constituents on a daily basis with any problems they may have, but this clinic is about making services more accessible to the community," said Raitt. "Not everyone is able make it into the office during regular business hours, so we want to make sure we are giving these people an opportunity to come speak with me." The Milton Constituency Clinic will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Milton Leisure Centre located at 1100 Main St. E. Raitt encourages constituents of Halton to attend the clinic if they have any questions about Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement, disability pensions, Employment Insurance, passports and issues with the Canada Revenue Agency. Costs not feasible in a recession Continued from page 6 whistles is not feasible in a recession, during a time of cutbacks, layoffs and financial restraint. Oakville does need a new hospital, one that will serve our children and grandchildren. But it doesn't need to burden those children and grandchildren with millions in debt. The cost of $530 million for 130 more beds is too much. Before giving the proposal the green light, Oakville Town Council must insist that Halton Healthcare find a way to trim the cost.
