International Women's Week 2010 begins on Sunday, March 7, and wraps up on Saturday, March 13. Sheridan College students are holding a live concert to raise money for the Student Emergency Fund of the music theatre and technical production programs. The concert, taking place Sunday, March 7, is being held by the theatre students and will include original dance and music performances. The fund originated three years ago after the sudden death of a music theatre student's sister. All of the students' classmates wanted to travel to Windsor to support him through the Strong Leadership. Strong Women. Strong Wo Strong Leadership. Strong Women.Strong World: Equality March 8 is International Women's Day (IWD), the highlight of International Women's Week (IWW). Each year at this time, Canadians celebrate progress toward equality for women and their full participation, reflect on current chal- funeral. Because the school didn't have funding available, the program faculty hired a bus to take the students to and from Windsor. The concert evolved from this event as a means of raising funds to have in the event of future such contingencies. This is the third annual Stepping Up concert. It takes place at the McDonald-Heaslip Hall at the Trafalgar Campus. It begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25. Call the box office at 905-8154049.
