Humane society hosting Adopt-a-thon for cats In preparation for what is sure to be a bumper crop of kittens, the Oakville & Milton Humane Society is hoping to find homes for the many adult cats at the shelter by hosting a three day Adopt-A-Thon this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The shelter will be open for adoptions on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday, May 9 (Mother's Day) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Many cats will be available to go home the same day with their new `forever family.' Adult cats will be half price at $75 for the three days of the Adopt-A-Thon; this includes up-to-date vaccinations, already being spayed or neutered, microchipped, deflead and dewormed, six weeks of pet insurance and the promise of unconditional love. The Oakville & Milton Humane Society's new Homeward Bound Boutique will also hold its grand opening the same weekend and adoptive families can pick up everything they need for their new best friend at the boutique.
