Money raised at the event will go to the Safetynet Children and Youth Charities, which works with more than 40 social services in Halton Region to help people become independent and self-reliant and to alleviate the causes of generational poverty. It also has a food and clothing bank and provides children who are struggling with their education with free tutoring. Over the last 24 years, the event has raised more than $190,000 for Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. This year organizers decided to fund raise for another local charity. More than 100 participants are expected to turn out for the event, which begins at Oakville's Coronation Park. Awards will be handed out to the rally winner, best dressed vehicle, best entrance and others. Tickets are $80 per person.
