The Oakville/Hamilton Mail Art Exchange Exhibition opens Saturday, May 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. The works of art were created by members of the Oakville Galleries Youth Council and Youth Engagement and Action Hamilton. The two groups participated in a mail art project. The project asked the youths to create and share art by mail based on the question: "What does it mean to be a young person in Hamilton/Oakville?" The project was put on by Oakville Galleries' community arts programmer Sarah Febbraro and Workers Arts and Heritage Centre labour arts co-ordinator Andrew Lochhead. The opening will feature live music, DJs, food, magazines and art. The exhibit continues to June 22. For more information, visit www.oakvillegalleriesyouthcouncil.com.
