A Night at Gairloch will be held at Gairloch Gardens Friday, June 11 at 7 p.m. The event will include performances from a New Orleans' style jazz band, Olia Mishchenko and Sandy Plotnikoff. There will also be a bar with martinis, wine and oysters. Furthermore, the work of the late Canadian artist Betty Goodwin will be on display. Clean air group holds concert The Citizens for Clean Air (C4CA) group is hosting a fundraiser concert Friday, June 11 to help pay for its efforts to stop the construction of a gas-powered power plant in south east Oakville. Bruce Geldart, who has lived in Oakville for 17 years, had one of his paintings featured in the May/June issue of the Canadian Brushstrokes magazine. The painting was the winner of that issue's still life/floral competition. His painting is titled Copper, Brass and Tomato. Geldart is a graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photographic Art and Science in California.
