And unlike last weekend, people can go swimming right here. According to the Halton Region Health Department, two of Oakvilles beaches have safe levels of bacteria for swimming, and only one is still unsafe. Thats in contrast to last weekend, when the health department reported all beaches were unsafe. The safe beaches are Bronte Park Beach and Coronation Park East. Coronation Park West, however, was found unsafe to swim this week. The health department does weekly test- ing for bacteria levels at recreational water spots through the summer months. All other Halton beaches are safe for swimming as well. They include: The Beachway North and South in Burlington; Kelso Conservation Area in Milton and Prospect Park Old Beach in Halton Hills.
