John McCrae Remembrance Day Service On Sunday at The Bronte Legion Branch 486 located at 79 Jones St. is hosting a Remembrance Day Service Sunday, November 7th that begins at 10:30am Veterans will leave from Jones Street at 10:30 a.m. and march along Lakeshore west to the Cenotaph. At 11 a.m., a ceremony will be held at the Cenotaph. Veterans will march back to Jones Street following the ceremony. The Oakville Legion Branch 114 is hosting a Remembrance Day Service Thursday, November 11th that begins at 10:30am Veterans will leave from Church and Navy Streets and march along Lakeshore and up Trafalgar to the Cenotaph at George's Square. Veterans march first, followed by members of the Armed Forces, RCMP, OPP, Halton Police, Oakville Firefighters, Knights of Columbus, Cadets, Scouts and Guides and local dignitaries. At 11 a.m., a ceremony will be held at George's Square. Veterans will march back to Church and Navy following the ceremony.
